Chicken with Pesto Sauce and Angel Hair Pasta

This is a simple and delicious chicken dish that is served over a bed of whole wheat angel hair pasta. Add a side of fresh vegetables to round out your meal.
1 1/4 pounds chicken breast, boneless and skinless
1/3 cups pesto sauce (prepared)
1/2 cup half and half, fat free
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon pepper, black, ground
1 tablespoon olive oil
7 ounces pasta, angel hair, whole wheat
Boil a large pot of water over high heat and cook pasta according to package directions. Cut chicken into 6 servings. Place chicken between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound to to 3/8 inch thickness. Season chicken with the garlic and pepper. Place a large skillet over medium to medium high heat and add olive oil. Add chicken in a single layer and cook for approximately 3 to 4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken to a plate and cover with foil. Place pesto and half and half in skillet. Stir and cook on low until warm. Drain pasta and arrange on plates. Top with chicken and spoon sauce over top and serve.
